Hi Folks,

Isao Takai sent me a diagram of a system with which he has been
successfully growing Darlingtonia. Its basically a small scale
evaporative cooler built with a styrofoam box. The pots fit through
the top and hang above water in the bottom. There is an opening at
one end and a small exhaust fan at the other. The air is drawn
in at one end is cooled by water evaporation, passes by the pots and
is exhausted at the other end. Isao's setup was neatly built and
took up about 0.5 sq. meters of floor space. The plants could be
watered from above or by a capillary wick. Right now I'm looking
for an appropriate sized styrofoam box.

Not that I don't want to come visit Peter in Wales!!

Take care!
