Maybe something to look forward to: I'm preparing an article about my trip to
Guinee (West-Africa), were I saw mostly Utric's, including some species
endemic for West-Africa or even only a small area in Guinee, (i.e. U.
pobeguinii).
I didn't succeed in introducing some of these species in culture, although
I have now germinating seeds of U. rigida, which is a rheophyt (it grows in a
thin film of water, running over rocks), and now I don't know how to care for
them now. I think it is very difficult to imitate their natural habitat.
Until now I treated the seeds as an amphibious species by sowing them on dead
Sphagnum almost submersed in water.
And for the future: maybe this autumn I will go to West-Cameroun, were
I can find for example U. mannii, an epiphytic species with yellow flowers
which isn't introduced in culture yet as far as I know.
