CO2-depletion is usually only a problem if you
have high photosynthetic rate and CP are not know
for high photosynthetic activity, rather the
opposite.
If you have soil that is moist, warm (room
temperature) and don't lack oxygen you will have a
high decomposition rate and a high release of CO2.
If you lack oxygen in the soil your root will rot.
Because the optimal conditions for decomposition
is the same as CP-growing conditions, I don't
think there is a lack of CO2.
Has anybody measured CO2-concentrations?
Is there a easier way than using a IRGA (InfraRed
GasAnalyser:-)?
