The S. purpea is sending up small 1.5 cm. shoots at the base where only
three mature pitchers from earlier are slowly dying. So far four new
shoots have formed and are starting to form a rosette. Each of the new
shoots stops at 1.5 cm, then another forms. Is this how the plant grows,
forming a small rosette then eventually sending out each leaf to mature
size?
Second question:
After the sundews and butterworts flower, should I expect them to die or
go dormant, or will they continue to grow normally throughout the summer?
Any help, especially with the pitcher plant question would be appreciated.
Thank you
