Believe it or not, my D. capillaris "large" exhibited this trait
once, and only once, when it was being subjected to very poor
conditions. I think in that case it may have been a reponse to poor
light, soil, and excessive heat and humidity, (I know with most CPs
there's no such thing as excessive humidity, but this poor plant was
being cooked in one of those pots you see them sold in). When given
better conditions, the main plant thrived and the plantlet died.
