S. purpurea

A couple of weeks ago at the Nashville Lawn and Garden Show, I picked
up an unusually healthy specimen of S. purpurea (one of those that
comes in the small plastic pot with a clear cup taped over the top).
I removed it from that, replanted it, and put some damp dead sphagnum
around it to increase the local humidity.
It has about six pitchers, and has not produced a new one since I got
it; there is a small, developing pitcher that seems to be remaining
in limbo.
I've never grown this plant before; I was under the impression that
it was a relatively rapid grower, so I'm afraid I might have set it
into its dormancy or simply done irreparable damage. Any ideas?
