Pygmy droseras from seed

Hi, y'all;

Is there a difference in the germination times (or conditions) for various
Drosera species? I recently planted D. ericksoniae & D. dichrosepala
(Australian pygmies), and D. madagascarensis, D. capensis (African
perennials). All except D. dichrosepala germinated within two weeks. (4"
under flourescent grow lights, 12 hr photoperiod, 75 degree days, 60 degree
nights) It's been about a month now. Should I give up, change the
temperature regime, wait 'til winter? I know some Australian droseras,
(esp tuberous ones), have special light/temp requirements for
germination...

Another question: I've heard it said that pygmy sundews need deep pots (4"
plus) because they establish very long root systems. Does anyone out there
grow pygmies in normal plastic 2 1/2 or 3" pots? (It would be nice to save
space.)

Thanks for any input!

Scott
