Ivo,

>Doesn't anybody know if any CPs grow in Sicily?

In spite of the mediterranean climate (famous for lots of endemic species),
Sicily is rather unattractive for cps, most of which reguire high humidity
in Europe (the summer is rather hot-dry/African in Sicily). Some remarkable
cp species do grow rather close to Sicily, however: _Pinguicula crystallina
subsp.hirtiflora_ in S Italy, _P.longifolia subsp.reichenbachiana_ in the
Abruzzo Mts., Italy, and _P.corsica_ in Corsica.

Many interesting species of parasitic (and still other) plants do occur in
Sicily, so you could perhaps shift to these?
