There are some spp. of insects that are toxic to CP's (VFT); but keep in mind
that the traps do have a limited life span. If the traps are stimulated to
close 4-5 times with a toothpick, it too will shrivel and die without ever
having seen an insect. I'm positive this has to do with the amount of energy
required to reopen a traps an X number of times vs. the amount of energy
required to generate a new trap.--And also the size of the VFT. I have
forgotten the specific reference, but can look it up.
