I saw D. indica in habitat in Irian Jaya growing together with D.
burmannii, D. banksii, N. mirabilis and various Utrics in wet
Savannas under Eucalyptus trees in the grass. The area is very moist
during the rain season and parts are even under water. During dry
season the area is frequently burnt. The whole did not much look like
very poor soil as it's covered by deep grass in which D. indica and
D. banksii are climbing.
