Sarracenia discord

Regarding the Sarracenia wilt, I'll add my voice to those who
suggest root problems. It sounds like the new growth is increasing
the plant's need for water uptake, and they are not able to get it,
probably due to root maladies. I'd suspect rotting of the roots
(not necessarily the rhizome), or possibly a vascular wilt of fungal
origin, such as Fusarium or Verticillium. In either case I wonder if
it might not be a good idea to let the Sarracenias dry out just slightly
between waterings. This may sound like it would exacerbate the wilting
problem (and it may in the short run). But I think a periodic drying
would do much to prevent stagnation and allow air down to those roots.
