Hi Folks,

Earlier Fernando suggested increased levels of radiation found in Australia
could increase the number of mutations in Drosera. As I understand them,
mutations are primarily the result of a defect in DNA repair so increased
DNA damage due to radiation exposure would result in increased mutation
rates. However, I believe cells/organisms that reproduce rapidly are more
likely to acquire and express the results of mutations. So, do Australian
Drosera reach reproductive maturity at a faster rate than other Drosera
species?
