Hi Dio,
It is good practice to keep your plants clean. With the VFT,
however, I have never had a prob w/ leaving the older blackened
leaves on the plant. It would be good to remove to beat (blackened)
trap as they contain mucho dead stuff which always rots.

Rain. I collect it off the roof via the gutters when it rains.
I have to go out into the storm after ten minutes of down pour,
during which the roof and gutters get clean (sort of), so the
water coming off the roof isn't totally filled with pollution. I
pull a down spout off the wall and direct it into a 33 gal. garbage
can. It fills very quick, has no minerals, and is quite clear.
I place the lid back on the can and no bugs either.
