I too got Rowland's Nepenthes madagascariensis to germinate, and they
are still (slowly) growing 18 months on. Nothing from other species,
but I think that's the way it is with Nepenthes seeds - you just have
to take the chance and hope that at least some germinate.
I did get some germination from Chiltern's N. khasiana some years
ago. They subsequently died, no doubt due to my inexperience as a
Nepenthes grower.
I'm pleased to say that my single adult Nepenthes (alata), bought
from an ordinary garden centre 3 months ago is growing and pitchering
well, in fairly ordinary house and greenhouse conditions. I hope I am
as successful in bringing it through the Winter.
