Michael,
I have had good luck growing D. adelae in peat under fluorescent lights.
Humidity is high, and temps are usually in the eighties. I believe that
D. adelae grows in Queensland, Australia, in forested areas, so it can do
well with artificial light. It could be that exposure to direct sunlight
has damaged the old leaves which were presumably accustomed to lower light
levels. In any case, I keep this plant in a tray of water and have had
many new plants crop up when the roots hit the sides of the pot. As long as
the soil stays moist and temps are appropriate, you should get growth....
You can even cut the top off, and the plant should grow back from the roots.
Good luck!
