Chris, an excellent letter to PPN. And I am surprised to see such a fast
response from PPN---very professional too---only six spelling errors in
seven lines of text!

It is quotes like, ``All I can say is that you people do what you must and
we will do the same'' that really endears me to them.

>Treeferns are on Appendix II of CITES. Threatened or not, they are protected.

Are they really? I just grepped through my CITES documents for the word
"Cibotium" and came up blank. I recall three species in Hawai, _Cibotium
chamisonnia_, _C. glauca_, and _C. hawaiiensis_---these names are from memory
and are probably misspelled---anyone with corrections?

Nor is anything listed under Cyathea....

Hey Rhonda,

So you live in Arizona and are asking about setting up an outdoor bog? My
first question is do you live in the desert, rim country, or mountains? A
great deal depends on that, as John Walker noted....

Cheers,
