CP Sale and question on soil mixture

I have a question on soil mixture. I notice that the majority of
people use Canadian Spaghnum peat moss ( I got it from Payless
Drug store, Kathleen) with sand. However, I use perlite instead.
Is therte any advantage to using sand over perlite? I have not experienced
anything detrimental so far to my plants.

FOr anybody in the bay area, thee is going to be a plant show in
Golden Gate Park, San Francisco California and California
Carnivores will be there selling all sorts of CP's. They told me it would be
August 25-27 from 10:00am - 5:00pm.
