You might try washing the mixture with vinegar, if you really want to go
to alot of trouble, and then wash what was left with water. I would
consider this highly unfeasable because it takes about 12 gallons of 18
molar HCL to dissolve a 50 lb bag of limestone that has an average
patrical size of 4.5 micrometers. True there would be considerable less
carbonate in the mixture you referred to but it still could get
expensive. You would need to keep adding vinegar until the mix stopped
fizzing and then wash it with water six or seven times. Of course this
also doesn't guarantee that the water will wash away all of the nasty
chemicals that are in vinegar. If the limestone is a small amount it
might not be too bad cost wise but acidic acid isn't a very strong acid
and vinigar is only acidic at about 6% if you can even find it that high.
