Greetings from the Greenhouse!
I recently joined the forum, shortly to be overwhelmed with curiosity and
wonder at the diversity of interests and expertise exhibited here.
Trusting therefore, that someone will have leads on just about any subject I
could imagine, I will ask more of you on a subject which was recently
discussed: reversed osmosis water modification. Can anyone tell me or
suggest asource for information on the types and mechanisms of this process,
the specific needs which are satisfied in Nepenthes and other CP genera
(or if tolerances are known) species, by the available types of RO and
the products of each. I assume that not all RO is created equal. Do any
systems leave any minerals in the water? Is RO as corrosive to metal
plumbing as distilled? How does pH change with RO? How does it affect
the efficacy of pesticides?
Your consideration of this subject will be greatly appreciated!
