I never really stopped to compare. I believe I have a new flower that
recently opened- last time I looked it still had petals. I will try to
self it and see what happens. I would guess that as a general rule the
fall flowers are productive - evolutionary advantage and all that. Also
of course, there is no cold spell down here to interfere with the
flowering process. If we get any frost at all it won't be until
January.
