I also wish I knew what make Nepenthes flower. Some plants here I can
regularly count on to flower at certain times of the year but it ends
up the same cross year after year. The daylength seems to play a part
because I will get most of my male flowers in bloom prior to or at the
spring equinox then I get a burst of female spikes heading toward the
fall equinox. Then there is the new oddball that flowers whenever.
