My name is Dallas Dowhower, and I live in Lebanon, Pa. I've been
lurking here for about ten days, and thought an intro note would be
nice at this time.
Nature in all of it's glory has fascinated me since I was a child. I'm
fifty-one now and it still does!! I live in an apartment, with my friend
Walt, 85 orchids, 125 cactus & succulents, an insect collection, a rock
and mineral collection, varied antiques, and a fairly large natural history
library. And now I'm also living with a growing interest in bromeliads and
carnivorous plants! I know this is an illness!
So, my first questions are: How do I start? What plants would be good
for a beginner? Is there a doctor in the house?
