Hi,

Can anyone suggest a good source for a detailed distribution map of natural
(or at least well established) populations of _S. purpurea_ west of the
Mississippi in the Great Plains region? The maps I have aren't all that
clear on this issue.

Here's a bit of really minor trivia. A couple of weeks ago I caught the
last part of the Inspector Morse mystery "The Silent World of Nicholas
Quinn" (on A&E for those in the US). At one point I glanced up from what I
was reading at the time to see a camera angle through a greenhouse window
(at Oxford?) What do my wondering eyes behold but some very nice specimens
of Sarracenia (probably flava). I wonder if there was any significance to
that?

Hmm - Well, back to work,
