Don L,
I have about a dozen different varieties of N. alata that grow well with
orchids in a cool greenhouse. I have Mastavelias and Draculas growing
under the bench that the Nepenthes are on with Brassias hanging in the
roof with other Nepenthes. N. alata is at both levels and does fine.
Depending on the plant and what elevation it came from most all of
the varieties are a highland form and can tolerate the extreme highs
and lows in the greenhouse. Changing humidity and air movement will
greatly strengthen the sructure of the leaves giving you a plant that
is less prone to the problems faced with stress.
Truly,
