Is my VFT dying or just dormant?

I took my little VFT to my parents' house and put it in the basement for its
dormant period. It's about 38-40 degrees down there and it's getting a
little light, but not too much... My father told me that it's turning a
little yellow and the leaves are starting to wilt. Should I worry? And if
so, what can I do about it?
