I was talking to an commercial African violet grower and I found out that
they put diatomaceous earth in the soil to prevent mites. Since the D.
earth is composed of silica there should be no adverse affect on your acid
loving CP's.
A while back Someone had reported that they were experimenting with 100% D.
earth as a soil, what ever happened with that ?
