Byblis Seeds

First of all, thanks to everyone who sent me information about the
documentary.

I've recently gotten some seeds of Byblis gigantea Eneabba. I've never tried
growing Byblis before so I'm pretty excited to give it a go. This has also
triggered an interest to get more species and varieties of Byblis, if anyone
has seeds of B. gigantea TYPE, B. gigantea "Cataby", B. liniflora TYPE, B.
liniflora subsp. occidentalis from Kununurra, or B. liniflora "Darwin" or
knows where I can get them, please drop me a note. I know Allen Lowrie
usually has one or more on his list but I'd also like other sources.

I thought I'd try the germination method described in the March 1995 CPN
for the Eneabba seeds (Volume 24, Number 1). I have a problem though,
I've only been able to find gibberellic acid in biological supply
catalogs, and the smallest amount they sell of the kind I need is 1
gram. I don't have a gram scale so I can't divide it accurately. Would
it be alright to mix up a liter of the solution and store the portion I
don't use? How long does the solution stay viable, indefinitely or does
it have a limited shelf life? How dangerous is this stuff, do I have to
worry about it eating through the container? What about skin contact?
I apologize if I'm asking naive questions, but I've never worked with
gibb acid before so this is all new territory for me. Thanks in advance
for your patience.

Regards,

Demetrios
