The continuing saga of Clarke's Darlingtonia Seeds....

Sadly, I haven't had much luck with the seeds - I split them into two
batches - one set to plant immediately, the others to be stored away
in the fridge until spring.

The half I decided to plant were surface-sown onto a shallow dish of
moss peat, and left on the window sill where my other pitchers live
(unheated, but reasonably well lit).

Sadly, I haven't had any results yet - but we've had some pretty cold
weather, so I reckon the seeds have almost certainly gone dormant.
They don't seem to be suffering from mould, so I'm just keeping my
fingers crossed for spring...

As for the batch sitting in the fridge, ISTR reading that darlingtonia seeds
that have been kept for a while can benefit from being soaked in a jar of
water for a few days before being sown.. anybody heard of this?

P.S. I forgot to say "Thanks Clarke", so I'll do it now....
"Thanks Clarke!" :-)
