Mr. Lowrie advocates planting the groups (i.e. don't split the
clusters up or they won't flower!) in the autumn, 5cm (2") deep in a
mixture of 50% sphagnum peat and 50% sand. As this tuberous plant is
a winter grower it must be kept absolutely dry during the summer
months. Start watering (i.e. stand the pot in a tray of water) when
the first leaves of the season appear above ground level.
My plants have grown well for several seasons now, but have made no
attempt at flowering yet.
