Hi Perry,
You're not the only one who's going through a very strange winter, San
Francisco's has been equally historic. First we got hurricane strength
winds in December that knocked down untold numbers of trees and did a
lot of structural damage as well, plus the rain. It rained, and rained
and rained...I'm told this is the city's wettest recorded winter, it's
the wettest I've ever seen.
Then, we suddenly get blue skies and temperatures in the 70's for 3
days, this triggered my Sarracenia to start putting up flower buds on
February 10, one stalk on a flava is over a foot tall now. Boom, the
sun disappears again and we go back to more daily rainstorms. This
weekend takes the cake, Saturday and Sunday San Francisco had
temperatures in the 30's and it actually snowed in parts of the Bay
Area! I've had enough of this winter.
Take care and stay warm,
Demetrios
P.S. O.K., someone from Australia or South America, go ahead and tell us
you're getting a tan by the pool so we'll be real jealous! :-)
