Dear All
my contribution on this matter which i have already conveyed to Toby.
the general idea is great but i fear too risky.
whilst i agree with one of the contributors that if such a project
were undertaken it should be by an 'official' organisation or
trustee, another contributors remark about no progress if
unscrupulous etc etc i found shocking!
It was only very recently that members of the UK CP soc caught two
men with a boot load of wild plants they had 'extracted' from one
native site; incidently they then had the cheek to ask if they could
join the club!
Surely we should guard against such abuse, not provide details of
where and how to get to the plants? so if a project were undertaken,
governed by an official body, facts and figures could be made
available to whoever, but locations kept under the hat. would this
not be a happier compromise?
Extinction or publication?
