_D.lusitanicum_ does contain the naphthoquinone plumbagin, which may be
responsible for the most prominent (not necessarily tremendous)
pharmacological effects. So you might try a search under this compound
rather than the plant itself (plumbagin is also found in the related
Droseraceae, Dioncophyllaceae, Ancistrocladaceae, Nepenthaceae, and
Plumbaginaceae).

At the moment, of the families listed above only "Herba droserae"
(_Drosera_, Droseraceae) is an officinal drug in Germany (AFAIK). I could
look up the known (or alleged) properties of that one if you like.

PS: Perhaps you have heared about a preparation called "Carnivora",
produced from _Dionaea_ (Droseraceae). The effects of that one are of a
more homeopathic nature (I think), however. "Plumbago littoralis"
(=_P.scandens_, Plumbaginaceae) was once a homeopathic drug.
