Ive read that you can use tap water if it sits out for at least
24hours. How bad is it still for plants? I am leaving for the week and
dont have time to get distilled water (being a carless college student)
before I leave. Will my plants be ok for a week?
Also, if anyone on the list is from the University of Illinois in
Chamgpaign Urbana, there is a very nice collection of carnivorous plants in
the plant biology consevatory. It includes sarracenia, hanging pitchers,
various sundew species, butterworts, bladderworts, and venus flytraps,
however I dont really know what all the specific species and subspecies
are. There is also a wonderful display of orchids in the same room
(since ive noticed orchids come up in this newgroup from time to time, I
know there must be some orchid growers here as well).
