Well, I tried something new with a healthy Nepenthes a few weeks ago. It
opened a large trap. I looked around for bugs, or something to feed it, but
I couldn't find anything. Then, I got an idea. I decided to fool the trap.
I opened a magazine and clipped out a picture of an insect and dropped the
picture into the trap. To my surprise, the picture dissolved in the trap,
and, two weeks later, I was rewarded with both a MALE and FEMALE flower
stalks. I cross polinated the flowers and waited. Soon, a single seed pod
formed on the female stalk. When it matured, I opened it very carefully.
To my amazement, nothing poured out of the capsule. Instead, when I opened
the pod wider, I found a picture of some seeds.
