C3 or C4 +

Hey all,

1. Does anyone know what method of carbon fixation the CPs employ (i.e.
Calvin (C3), or C4)? Has any developmental research been done on CP,
esp. Neps (trap formation)? Any other biological/biochemical research been
done on CPs (aside from that on the proteolytic enzymes of Nep.)?

2. As I lack both the necessary equipment, know-how, and time to build
one, I plan on going whole hog and buying a plant cart (with
height-adjustable light fixtures, large plastic trays with removable
plugs...) and wanted to know whether 2-40W bulb or 4-40W bulb fixtures
would be better. Each shelf is only lit by one fixture. Right now I
have some Nep.s lit by 2-40W Grow-Lux standard bulbs and they are doing
fine.
3. Will the heat from these bulbs be sufficient for plants such as
Genlisea, Polypompholyx (ok ok, _Utricularia_), and Neps.?
Any other advice anyone out there has about this set up would be
appreciated before I make this painful pecuniary extraction.

10X, Ben
