question regarding Cephalotus

I received a letter via US SnailMail from someone who apparently
doesn't have internet access with a question regarding Cephalotus
that I can't answer...maybe someone here can help:

Zachary Kaufman writes:

I was browsing through the 1996 CP growlist and was suprised to
see listings for:

Cephalotus hispidula
Cephalotus follicularius
Cephalotus repens

From what I read, it was my undestanding that there was only one
species, follicularius, in the genus Cephalotus. Is this not the
case? Would you please explain to me the differences between the
three species. (I am familiar with C. follicularis "typica" and
C. follicularis "giant". Both forms are in my collection).

Okay taxonomic wizards, what say you? I have no idea. I wasn't
even really aware that there were two forms of C. follicularius
(my two lowly specimens are all of the size of a half dollar).

I'll forward the replys via snail mail back to Zachary.

Thanks!

Dave
