Rick,
You could try going to an aquarium or pet store and purchasing an aquarium
water test kit that includes tests for PH and hardness. If the PH is too
high or the water is too hard it probably will not be very good for cp. Our
well water is very hard (disolved minerals) and is not suitable for cp use.
I think this is probably typical of most well water, although you won't know
for sure until you test.
