The problem here in the U.S., is that unlike in Europe, Banks don't deal in
retail foreign currency trade. The only place where we can obtain foreign
currency checks is Reusch a company dealing in the retail currency trade,
which does not have branches in every city - Boston has one and so does NYC,
and probably other major cities. I for one just sent them a signed order
form (the one I made available on my home page) with my VISA number, etc. and
don't expect any problems. VISA for is the quickest way for Americans (and
probably the safest).
