The direct answer to your question is complex, and differs for every
different computer system.

The appropriate answer is that *no* uuencoded data, mime-encoded data,
or binary data should ever be posted to this group.

All proprietary word processing files MS-WORD, XYZ-FILE, etc... should
*always* be converted to plain ASCII before posting. While lots of
people are running MS-Windows and editors, this is by know means a
universal platform.

Plain 7-bit ASCII is the only universal language that can be read by all
our subscribers.

If it is imperative that your data be distributed in a binary form, then
please send it to me for inclusion in the archives. You can then post
a short notice letting people know that your data is available for
downloading.

It's an easy mistake, Joseph, and we're all just learning here together.

Please make sure your second posting is in a plain text format with no
encoding. You can often do this from your print menu by selecting something
like: print to file using ASCII, or print in plaintext.
