Well as for the potting mix I have 2 Dar's, one given to me with 2" long
decumbent pitchers and the other with 6" or more tall pitchers (flowering now
(thanks again Nigel!)). The small one was potted into live sphagnum while the
big one I have kept in the original mix which is about 50/50 peat and coarse
grit (help me out here Nigel!!). The big one is happier than the small one so
unless I have a lot of sphagnum left in the Autumn which I can store 'till
spring I will keep it in that mix next time I repot it.
PS. in a recent mail an S. x Atkinsoniana was mentioned - unacceptable
synonym - should be S. x catesbaei though I'm positive most people knew
that!!
Hope that helps,
Toby
