Buy two three liter bottles of generic soda. Dispose of original
contents in any manner you choose. Wash the bottles thoroughly and fill with
water(Leave 2 or 3 inches for expansion). Put the bottles in the freezer for
at least 24 hours. When they are completely frozen get a Macrame(sp?) woven
flower pot hanger and put the bottle of ice in it upside down. Hang the pot
holder above your Darlingtonia and you are all set. The ice melts and cold
water drips onto the plant keeping it nice and cool. Temperatures have been
95^F here and the ice lasts all day. After sunset, bring in your bottle,
refill it, and freeze it. Next morning, bring out your second bottle and
hang it above your Cobra. I use two bottles so each one gets 24 hours of
freezing and alternate them. It's not fancy but it works for me.
Browsing the net, I ran across a service that provides Free E-Mail
service to people in the USA. The catch is that there is advertising on it.
This would give access to the CP Listserve to interested people who don't
wish to pay for full internet services. Anyone interested in this can find
more information about it at http://www.juno.com
Good growing,
