This happens with mine as well, but I have never seen it as a sign of
sickness. I think of it as sunburn, and the pitchers seem to have an
accelerated (i.e., shortened) lifespan. When growing outside, new pitchers
appear faster, and the pitchers grow larger, faster. It's a trade-off.
