Misting Apparatus & Pumps

        Whenever creating a small misting or irrigation system you might 
     want to steer clear of automitive windsheild washer fluid pumps.  I 
     have found that these are in general built poorly and break down alot. 
      A better pump would bee one of the submersible "fish pond" pumps.  
     They typically  are an AC induction motor with one moving part.  They 
     are inert and whisper quiet.  Over here in the US there is a supplier 
     named BECKET that makes pumps from little 20 GPH mini-pumps to big 1/2 
     horsepower ones.  I am sure there are many other manufactures around 
     also.
     
        When running the pump from a timer you should probably use an 
     ELECTRONIC timer.  The mechanical ones tend to wear out and make a 
     buzzing sound.
