Hello,
I am a new member and would like to introduce myself.
I live in Leeds, England and a member of the CPS. I grow Darlingtonia,
Sarracenia species and natural hybrids, Tuberous and pygmy drosera, Byblis
gigantea and a few Pinguiculas.
Last year the Darlingtonia, Sarracenia flava and purpurea and Drosera binata
survived temperatures of -12 C (10 F) and are thriving and have flowered.
Half of each species are grown in coir/sand mixtures and the others in
peat/sand. There is no discernable difference between them and in future I
will switch away from peat completely.
Regards, Peter Smale
