Hello CPers,
I started using cocopeat or coir about 18 months ago as a substitute for my \r
nepenthes potting mix. Peat here costs about 4 - 5 times than that of \r
cocopeat and cocopeat is environmentally friendly. The cocopeat here comes \r
from Malaysia and it is not fertilised.
I mix the cocopeat with sand and perlite in more or less equal proportion. \r
The hybrids and lowland species are adapting well to this mixture. I have
very few highland species so I cannot conclude whether this mix is good for
them.
Regards,
Joseph.
