The discussion about wasps reminded me of a remedy that might be useful to
some of you. A friend recently told me of a simple, inexpensive, effective
and readily available treatment for insect stings--holdhold ammonia.
Simply pour it over the sting immediately, and the relief is amazing. I've
tried it on fire ant stings (if you don't have fire ants yet consider
yourself blessed) and one wasp sting. Application must be made immediately
after the injury.

Ann in Dallas, where we're finally getting some rain (which makes the fire
ants more active) and cooler temperatures (in the low 90s).
