My droseras LOVE fungus gnats. Without them, the poor plants would
starve. Am I wrong thinking that the gnat larvae are in fact eating the
mychorrhizal fungus on the roots and not the roots themselves? If so,
then aren't these larvae important inoculators, spreading spore as they
go? I can't imagine why I'd want to eliminate these symbionts.
