Yes this is a possibility. Most vacuum cleaners I have seen inside of
use a "universal" AC motor which has brushes in it, these brushes do
produce sparks during normal operation of the motor which could ignite
the alcohol but on the other hand the volume of air that is being
pushed through the cleaner is pretty high so you would need quite a
bit of alcohol before it became a real risk. Better not to try I suppose.
