Peter D'Amato told me once that D. adelae will up and "die" periodically for
no apparent reason, only to regrow from its roots, even up to 6 or more
months later. He told me never throw away a D. adelae that has appeared to
give up the ghost, but keep it moist (or moister) and wait and see. Before I
started growing D. adelae in a terrarium (75 degrees, very high humidity, no
drafts) mine would periodically die back ... now it grows and grows (am I
jinxing myself?) and keeps sending up new shoots.
