In a greenhouse environment in leu of pesticides go down to the local petshop
and get a Tokay Gecko or a Cuban Tree Frog (or both). I keep them in my
greenhouse and they eat just about anything that moves at night, snail, roach
or otherwise. They won't help with scale or mealy bugs though and make sure
you have an escape proof greenhouse. Tokay's can bite if you grab them and
the frogs have somewhat poisonous skin, but only if handled.
